The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers will be out of the Philippine Superliga Invitationals Cup action next week as they will be competing in the 2018 Sealect Tuna Women’s Volleyball Championship in Thailand from June 27 to July 1.

Following their straight set victory over the Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy yesterday, F2 Logistics head coach Ramil de Jesus confirmed that they are indeed participating in the invitationals tournament.

It will mark his return to the international arena since his SEA Games 2005 stint, where he led Philippines to a bronze medal finish.

The squad will be bannered by natioal team members Cha Cruz, Kim Fajardo, Aby Maraño, Majoy Baron, Kim Dy and Dawn Macandili and F2 mainstay Ara Galang.

They will be joined by current La Salle wards Des Cheng, Tin Tiamzon, Michelle Cobb and Aduke Ogunsanya together with NCAA standout Lourdes Clemente, who suited up for the Cargo Movers last Grand Prix.

De Jesus and the two-time PSL champions are slated with Khonkaen Star Volleyball Club and the Australia women’s national volleyball team in Pool B.

F2 Logistics takes on Khonkaen Star on June 27 before clashing with the Australian spikers on June 29 both at 4 p.m.

The Cargo Movers will be the third PSL delegation to compete in the said Thai tourney.

Foton, despite playing with American hitters Lindsay Stalzer and Arielle Usher, had a dismal stint in 2016 where they finished sixth.

Last year, PSL All Stars, led by Maraño, made history as the first foreign team to win a medal in the Thai tournament after beating Khonkaen Star in the bronze medal match.
