San Miguel Alab Pilipinas continue to draw strength from the import duo of Renaldo Balkman and Justin Brownlee as it downed the Singapore Slingers, 82-69, Sunday night to stretch its win steak to five in the ASEAN Basketball League at the OCBC Arena in Singapore.

Balkman pounded his way to a game-best 21 points he spiked with six rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block while Brownlee had 16 points, 10 boards, four assists, two steals and a block to power Alab to its fifth straight win and eighth overall against four defeats.

The Balkman-Brownlee pair was what Alab needed to turn a floundering campaign into a productive one as the two have steered their squad to seven victories in their last eight games.

Alab will have a chance to stretch it to another game as it clashes with Thailand’s Mono Vampire Club, which is currently at No. 3 with a 9-4 (win-loss) mark, on Wednesday at the Baliuag Star Arena in Bulacan.
