Kiefer Ravena has finally made the jump to the pros.

The two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player has decided to face a new challenge as he declared himself eligible for the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft.

In a post on his Twitter account, Ravena made the announcement short and sweet.

“#PBADraft. Here we go,” he wrote.

The former Ateneo star last saw action for Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas in the 2017 Fiba Asia Champions cup where he averaged a team-best 20.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 steals in close to 30 minutes of play.

He also had a memorable collegiate and amateur career going back to his days in the UAAP, where he netted 16.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in five seasons.

Ravena has had vast playing experience elsewhere. He even tested his luck in the NBA and was signed to contract in the NBA Developmental League with the Texas Legends, while also seeing action in numerous leagues with Mighty Sports and Alab Pilipinas.

He has also won a record of four Southeast Asian Games gold medals while also representing the country in the 2017 Fiba 3×3 World Cup in Nantes, France.

The 23-year-old’s inclusion further bolsters the depth of this year’s pool where Ravena is expected to be a sure-fire top two selection.

He joins an already loaded cast which features Fil-German big man Christian Standhardinger, La Salle swingman Jeron Teng, and FEU bruiser Raymar Jose. ~ Randolph B. Leongson/Inquirer.net
