EuroBasket 2015 Basketball Championship now underway!

FIBA EuroBasket 2015 actions is underway! Hoops get ready for the 16-day run of the EuroBasketball basketball beginning on September 5 and will conclude with the championship game on September 20. It's taking place in 4 different countries (Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia).

This year European Basketball Championship is the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship governed by FIBA Europe. 24 teams from the 37 federations joins the competition with the six days of group play then followed by the knockout rounds hosted in Lille, France.

The top two teams will qualify to the 2016 Summer Olympics. The next five teams advance to the World Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Group A: Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Finland, Poland, Israel
Group B: Iceland, Turkey, Spain, Serbia, Italy, Germany
Group C: Netherlands, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Georgia
Group D: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belgium, Czech Republic

Teams play each other once in group play, with the top four from each advancing to the tournament stage.
